Especially created for the aluminium industry, Rexroth’s crustbreaker is based on the latest generations of the proven ITS series cylinders.
Due to the careful selection of material, a special finishing method, and extra details in the configuration, the crustbreaker is best prepared for its extreme operating conditions with temperatures up to 200°C/392°F.
The crustbreaker fulfills all requirements for the different technologies, systems and working methods for processes.

- Cylinder barrel in aluminium or steel, modular nose adapter
- Adjustable pneumatic cushioning, customized mountings
- End stroke sensing or linear measurement with potentiometer, integrated mountings, customized piston rod end

- Check valve in the inlet port to hold the piston in the top position if the system loses pressure
- Silencer for reduction of noise and dust

Patented end position detection system

The patented end cover detection system indicates when the cylinder has contact between the piston and the sensing ring. The main advantage of this patented end cover detection system is that the only moving part is the piston. This leads to higher reliability due to fewer disturbances.
