The BLADEcontrol® rotor blade monitoring system is a product which continuously monitors the condition of the rotor blades to detect early signs of damage to the blades and prevent greater problems, thereby significantly extending the useful blade life. The ice detector function measures the effect of an ice mass on the natural frequency of the blades themselves.
